BUSY is an accounting software designed for use by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises globally. It includes features for Inventory, Billing, VAT, Excise, Service Tax, and TDS.

BUSY assists small businesses in managing their finances as well as their business operations and controls. It's suited for industries like FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, Trading, Distribution, and Services, offering an integrated solution for business accounting.

Busy offers a wide range of features and reports, such as voucher and master imports from MS Excel, multi-currency support, automatic backup, data freezing, profitability reports, sales and purchase analysis, and interest calculation post-reconciliation. With these capabilities, it provides a comprehensive alternative to Tally, accommodating both cleared and uncleared entries.

Navigate to Administration => Change Financial Year => New Year starting from XX-XX-XXXX.

1. Firstly, initiate a new financial year.
2. Shut down the company and navigate to the backup feature.
3. Only back up the data from the current year.
4. Move to the “Restore” function.
5. Specify the location of the backup files and proceed to restore.
6. When prompted to overwrite the company, choose the “no” option.

Follow these steps for journal entries:
Debit the Profit & Loss Account (Predefined master).
Credit to the Partner/Proprietor Account (within the Capital account group).
Credit to Partner 2 (If applicable) (also within the Capital account group).

After moving the profit to the capital account, “Profit & Loss adjusted” might display on the asset side of the Balance Sheet. BUSY software automatically includes the Profit & Loss Account in the Balance Sheet. Transferring profits causes a discrepancy between the Asset & Liability balances. To align both sides, “Profit & Loss Adjusted” is shown on the opposite side. This adjustment ensures the Balance Sheet's assets and liabilities are even and does not affect the printout.

To fix this:
1. Return to the previous year's data.
2. Opt to Rewrite Books.
3. Move to the new financial year and retransfer the balances.

1. Navigate to Display > Balance Sheet and open it.
2. Turn off the “Update Balance Sheet Stock” option and generate the report.
3. Locate the stock account under current assets and select it.
4. Enter the stock's value as per your assessment and confirm the changes.
